Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde was born on 25 December, 1967. He is a politician and businessman. He is the current Governor of Oyo State. Oluseyi Makinde is an engineer and a subject matter expert on fluid and gas metering. There are several businesses he is managing. His prominent business is Makon Group Limited: an indigenous oil and gas company in Nigeria.

He attended St. Paul Primary school Ibadan, St. Michael Primary School, Bishop Phillips Academy Ibadan then, University of Lagos. Also, he has several degrees in School in Texas, Lagos, England and USA.

2. Jonah Otunla

Jonah Ogunniyi Otunla was born on June 12, 1955. He is a Nigerian Financial Accountant and also the former Accountant General of the Federation of Nigeria. Jonah Otunla was among Central Bank of Nigeria’s board members. He schooled at Baptist High School Saki and Obafemi Awolowo University. In 1986, he became a Chartered Accountant.

He worked at Unilever as an Accountant, Civil Service as a Chief Internal Auditor later on he became the Director of Finance. On June 1989, he was appointed the Accountant General of the state. He left this office March 2004.

Also, in 2011 he became the Accountant General of the Federation of Nigeria until 2015. Therefore, those are the reasons he is among the 5 richest Oyo State indigenes.

3. Kola Daisi

Kola Daisi was born on September 14, 1932 in Ibadan. He is a Lawyer and successful businessman. Defiinitely he is unarguably one of the richest Oyo State Indigene. He had his Primary and Secondary school education in Ibadan. Later on, he studied Economics and Law at the University of London.

Kola Daisi worked at Ayo Rosiji law firm, Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Nigerian Association of Chambers Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA).

Besides, spent years working in First City Monument Bank (FCMB). Kola Daisi co-founded the Nigerian-British Chamber of Commerce and served as its first Executive Director. Moreso,  deploys his resources by establishing Kola Daisi Foundation (KDF) and Kola Daisi University Ibadan.

4. Rasheed Radoja

Rasheed Radoja is an Oyo State businessman and Politician. He is indeed one of the richest indigene of Oyo State. Rasheed Radoja is a former Governor of Oyo state. Rasheed Radoja has business activities in Shipping, banking, manufacturing, transportation and agriculture.

5. Wale Adenuga

Wale Adenuga was born on 24 September 1950 at Oyo State. He is a producer of several television shows. He is a Nigerian former cartoonist/publisher but currently a series producer. Wale Adenuga was raised in Ibadan. He schooled at Ibadan city Academy, King’s College Lagos and University of Lagos. He worked for the cartoon section of the Campus’ Magazine.

Additionally, he produced popular dramas like; “Ikebe Super”, “Super Story”, “Binta”, “Papa Ajasco”, etc. He has received several awards like the Nigeria Film Festival 2002 (Best Producer), Best Script writer, Best Director, Best Television Drama and Best Socially Relevant Television Production and Member of the order of the Federal Republic (MFR), 2009.
